As the race progresses, drivers that have a lot of teenage passengers are thankful for the big, soft cushy seats. They don't get so tired, and these late model vans have versatile handling so that if there is a traffic problem, they can maneuver safely through traffic, easily. Kids aren't complaining about headroom because they are watching movies on the LCD DVDs that come preinstalled. Sound acoustics make watching enjoyable because the sound is clear and the road noise is negligible. When it rains for a few miles, anti-skid brakes mean there is less chance of an accident and less chance that the precious cargo will experience any mishap.



With so much room, passengers are extolling the benefits of these vehicles. They agree that high insurance rates and the increased likely hood of those under 25 having an accident are good reasons that rental agencies won't allow young people to rent them. The models with manual transmissions do not seem to be in the lead any more than the ones with automatic transmissions, although their gas mileage is a little better. That is not to say that all the models have gas engines, because some of them have diesel engines that have better torque at low RPM and when going up hills.



The rally is almost over, and everyone is tired. Traction control and the anti-skid brakes have made little difference in this outing. But families are glad they were going on this trip together, instead of separated. They will enjoy the same experience next year, and hopefully be spending their trip or vacation in one of the 12 seater vans that arrives with the perfect time.
